This special 'Meet the Alumni' event, during Black History Month, welcomes Iffy Onuora, Head of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion at the Premier League, who will share his unique story from studying at Bradford, to moving into professional football as a player, coach, and equality ambassador. 

The event will be hosted by Professor Udy Archibong, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion at the University, who will explore in conversation with Iffy his personal and professional journey and experiences and discuss key issues surrounding equality in sport, racism in football and the Black Lives Matter movement. 

Attendees will also be invited to submit questions.

About Iffy Onuora, BSc Social Sciences 1989: 

Iffy Onuora was appointed Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) of the Premier League in April. This ground-breaking role comes with the huge responsibility of coordinating EDI policies and programmes as well as embedding best practice across Premier League clubs. The role also involves working with internal and external stakeholders such as the EFL, FA, PFA, LMA, Stonewall, Kick It Out and Level Playing Field on EDI related matters.
