Keeping in touch with our graduates

Software Engineering student impresses Morrison's at Computing final year Exhibition Day.

Kanika Kalra came to the University of Bradford to study for a BEng in Software Engineering.  Soon after graduating in 2011, Kanika was snapped up to be an IT Analyst for Morrisons Plc. Final year students hold an Exhibition Day in which students display a poster presentation of their dissertation work.  When Kanika’s work was spotted at a Computing Exhibition Day by an IT Director for Morrisons, she was then recommended to apply for the position of IT Analyst and soon after achieved securing the job.

Kanika says; "I owe most of the credit to the University of Bradford for arranging such professional visits and giving the students an opportunity for networking.

My job at Morrisons is exactly what I saw myself doing while I was studying at the University of Bradford. I have always had an interest in I.T, but during my Software Engineering degree course at the university it made me very determined that I would like to develop my career in this field."
