Chemical Engineering Quiz-Meet

Published: Thur 28 May 2015

Our very own Chemical Engineering Society recently organised an Annual Pub Quiz for fellow Chemical Engineers in Student Central.

The competition was held between students from Bradford and Leeds, as well as newcomers Huddersfield, thanks to their new Chemical Engineering course.

Amongst attendees was Mark Garner, Small Projects Engineering Manager, for BASF; a world leading chemical company.

Dr Raj Patel, Head of Chemical Engineering at the University of Bradford explained: “The social was a brilliant way for students to meet future colleagues and network, as people from industry also attended. A great time was had by all and we are hope this annual event will continue for many years to come.”

Clint Okeyo, MEng Chemical Engineering student and outgoing President of Bradford Chemical Engineering Society, hailed the night as a great success: “The event was great fun and really enjoyable; answers to the quiz questions were tricky creating an atmosphere of competition and laughter. As the host of the event I was very pleased with the turnout and enthusiasm of students from all three universities. Hopefully next year the Pub Quiz will be equally as entertaining, if not more so.”

The new club President for 2015/16 has been announced as Ahmed Shehu. If you would like further information on the club please email Ahmed or visit their Facebook group. To join the society, please visit the UBU Reception in Student Central.
