New Staff Induction

Prerequisite: None.

Target audience: Staff who are new to the University of Bradford.

Aims: The purpose of this session is to complement the new staff member's local departmental induction by providing broader information about the University, its organisation, vision and culture. It gives new starters an opportunity to listen to key organisational messages from a member of the senior management team and to network with other new staff.

Objectives: by the end of this event participants will - have met and networked with other new employees at the University;

- be able to describe the University's mission, structure and its wider organisational context;

- be able to explain their responsibilities in relation to the Student Experience and Health, Safety and Wellbeing;

- be able to describe learning and development and support / welfare opportunities available.

Session duration: 4 hours (approx) + additional 45 mins for optional 'green' campus tour.
