International Baccalaureate Requirements

English A HL 5 or SL 5 with no subskills less than 4 OR English B HL 5 with no subskills less than 5 or English B SL 7 with no subskills less than 6.

Plus minimum of

GCSE English Language and Maths at grade C or 4 (equivalents accepted).

English language requirements

Minimum IELTS at 6.0 or the equivalent.

Transferring from another university

If you are currently studying at another university and would like to transfer to the University of Bradford, this course accepts students into the second or third year. This is called advanced entry

Applications for advanced entry will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must include an official transcript (not a screenshot of a portal), all module descriptors, and relevant qualifications. Module descriptors must include learning outcomes.

Applications must be submitted through UCAS and the required documents emailed along with your UCAS Personal ID no later than 31 August prior to the course starting in September. Relevant documents should be emailed to admissions@bradford.ac.uk

Fees, finance and scholarships

Tuition fee 2026

  • UK: £9,535

The University of Bradford will charge home rate tuition fees up to the maximum allowed by the UK Government.

Should the UK Government choose to increase the maximum tuition fee allowed in the second and subsequent years of your course, the University will raise tuition fees in line with UK Government policy and approvals.

  • International: £16,890

Additional costs

Postgraduate Master's Loan

Career prospects

Graduates from this course will be comfortable in a wide range of computer science and IT related roles thanks to the alignment with BCS accreditation requirements and backbone of high quality subjects delivered across a number of courses. More specifically though, graduates will be well placed to go on to work in roles that deal with data, AI development, machine learning and content generation in a huge range of industries, thanks to the AI specific modules within the course. Roles that may specifically suit graduates from this course include Data Scientist, focussed roles such as Robotics Engineer, Natural Language Processing developer, Machine Learning model/pipeline developer, AI ethicist, AI-based cybersecurity specialist and many more.
