Overview

The programme prepares international students to undertake their target undergraduate programme in the Faculty of Life Sciences or the Faculty of Health Studies.

The Certificate of International Foundation Studies is a pre-degree access programme that will provide you with a solid basis for future undergraduate study at the University of Bradford. This course is designed for international students who do not have the necessary academic and/or English language qualifications for registration directly onto a degree course.

The programme offers an introductory grounding in your chosen discipline and equips you with the study and interpersonal skills necessary for effective undergraduate study.

Successful completion of this programme will enable you to progress to a range of degree programmes in the Faculty of Life Sciences or the Faculty of Health Studies.

English language requirements

1.0 IELTS points below the overall English requirement for the chosen degree programme you wish to progress onto.

If you do not possess the required International English Language Test Score (IELTS) for your intended follow-on programme but do possess IELTS at 1.0 point below the requirement, you will study the English for Academic Purposes and the English for Specific Academic Purposes modules.
