All students must have access to clinical practice for the duration of the course.

Learning and assessment

Students will negotiate a matrix of competencies appropriate to their area and scope of practice with their practice mentor and academic supervisor.

These competencies will include statements indicating the level of proficiency required, commensurate with the requirements of the health care provider and the role/remit of a Practitioner within their defined setting. Competence will be demonstrated to and signed off by their mentor in practice.

Achievement of the negotiated competencies is a requirement to pass the module.  The completed competency matrix will be included in the professional web folio.
