Advice and guidance for applicants
Your experience at Bradford
Due to current lockdown restrictions, all learning at the University of Bradford has been moved online (with the exception of some programmes) until Friday March 26. We are, however, continuing to provide a full learning experience during these challenging times and these temporary measures mean you will be able to study safely.
While the University of Bradford has prioritised the safety of its staff, students and visitors, we also appreciate that delivery of our programmes needs to continue. Until the latest lockdown was imposed, we provided a blended learning offer (a mix of online and on-campus learning), which was in line with local restrictions at that time.
Following the latest lockdown, most of our learning has been moved online until Friday March 26, with the exception of some programmes. Exceptions include some postgraduate researchers (PGRs) and technicians who are unable to undertake their research at home, along with PGR students who do not have access to suitable study space in their accommodation.
However, not all University buildings will be open during this time, and you may have to book in advance to visit those that are. In all cases, anyone wanting to visit campus must book a Covid test at our on-site centre beforehand
While we entirely understand the difficulties and challenges caused by these temporary measures, they do enable us to continue delivering a high quality learning experience and will ensure you can study and enjoy university life in safety while adhering to Government restrictions.
As the situation and Government guidance develops, we’ll take that into account, always making sure that you have the best experience with us.
Finally, we’re here for you and we have a broad range of support in place, from emergency food deliveries and buddy systems to mental health and wellbeing support.
Keeping our campus safe
Things will be a little different in the short term. You will need to book a Covid-19 test before attending any sessions, and you will need to clear any campus visits with your Dean or teacher beforehand.
Once on campus, you will need to adhere to all safety guidelines, including social distancing, hand-washing and wearing a mask (unless you are unable to do so). Again, we appreciate the difficulties these restrictions may cause; our aim is to provide the best service we can under the circumstances.
