This is where I

...break the stereotypes

I think that when I came to Computer Science, it was like, you know, engineers are quite quiet and not sociable people.

I feel like I realised the potential in myself and showed other people that you don’t have to fit that stereotype.

This is where we

...worked together

It didn’t feel like it was family and university separately, it felt like it was family and university together. It worked really well.

I was saying to Pamela, think about where we would be without this...

That’s the thing they don’t say about degrees, they make you a better person as well as what you learn. When I had interviews before I’d just shut down, but now I’m confident. I’ll apply and if I get an interview, I’ll own it.

Pamela and Anthony Richardson came through Clearing to study BA (Hons) Social Work and BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering >>

This is where I

...found my confidence

I’ve always been a bit of an outgoing person, but I’m more willing to talk about what I do. I have a lot more confidence and a lot more knowledge in science in general - and being able to trust people to help you out and be a better team.

You’re not just sort of learning here, they make you feel like you’re a colleague.
