Why did you apply for the Summer Experience programme?

Because I wanted to gain experience which would further improve my employability opportunities in the future.

What did you enjoy?

I enjoyed working outdoors doing physical gardening work and supervising the Forest School sessions.

What support did you receive from the Career and Employability Team?

The career and employability team made sure my CV was up to scratch and really great. They also provided support while I was on the internship on how to reflect on my experience and how it will help in the future.

What tips would you give to perspective students when looking for an internship or placement?

Don’t be afraid to try out new opportunities, you will learn my new skills and will gain many useful networks which will help you in the future.

Are you doing anything else to improve your employability whilst at university?

I am looking to see what Career event that might be on to see what advice that it can give me, I will also look to apply to further projects and internships.

Anything else you would like to add?

It is a good idea to get as much experience as you can.
