Executive MBA Apprenticeship (Senior Leader Master’s Degree)

The University of Bradford are offering a new degree apprenticeship for an MBA which levy paying companies can fund from their apprenticeship service account. This course has been specifically designed to prepare managers for strategic roles within your organisation. The Executive MBA Apprenticeship is therefore aimed at employers who wish to develop their high-potential employees using work-based learning.

The course has been designed to give your staff the leadership capabilities for transformational change. In addition to the classroom requirements that are part of a conventional MBA, the apprenticeship element allows you to customise and apply the theory in your organisation.

Thus you will be able to see how the results of the apprentice’s assignments and projects benefit your organisation in line with our University mission of Making Knowledge Work.

An Apprentice is required to submit a work-based portfolio of how they have applied the knowledge in the workplace. This is constituted of 12-15 pieces of evidence. The Management Project is a major piece of applied work, based on a problem, issue, challenge or opportunity for your organisation.

After the apprentice has submitted their project we conduct an End Point Assessment with you and an independent assessor. This is in the form of a final report and a presentation or viva. Having successfully completed their degree, along with their portfolio and end point assessment your colleague will be awarded their apprenticeship and be entitled to apply to be a Chartered Manager (CMgr) status as well as being able to apply to become a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute - FCMI (where appropriate).

Thus the Executive MBA Apprenticeship is an MBA plus a portfolio and end point assessment to qualify your colleague for CMgr and FCMI.
