There are lots of different ways our students travel to the University of Bradford, read some of their commuting journeys below.

Maleeha, (LLB Law)

I commute to University via bus and a short walk after. Whilst on the journey, I pop to get a coffee and prepare for the day looking at my timetable. Running up to exam season, I would set off earlier so I could go to the library and revise with my course friends.

Saffron, (BSc Physiotherapy)

I walk, but on placements I get busses and trains. Normally I would try to be constructive with my trip and read (fiction or anatomy books), write up reflections, listen to music and generally just try to decompress.

Hamza, (BSc Business and Management)

I commute to University by walking since it's around 20 minutes away. During my walks, I usually listen to my favourite music playlists. It's a relaxing way to start the day and helps me mentally prepare for classes. Occasionally, I'll also use the time to do a quick review of CANVAS or mentally plan out my day. Overall, it's a relaxing and enjoyable part of my routine.

Sehar, (BSc Children's Nursing)

I get to University by bus, I get one bus from my house to Bradford Interchange and then a bus from there to uni, this takes 30 minutes in total with traffic. I sometimes take the bus with friends so we can have a chat, it's nice travelling with them. I have walked to university when the weather's been nice.

Chantal, (BSc Adult Nursing)

I commute to university via train and I love it. With my earbuds in, I get time to catch up on the latest headlines, relaxing music or a podcast. It is about 18 minutes from my station to Bradford Forster Square, then a 10-minute walk to campus. I use this additional walk to clear my head and get some gentle exercise in, it's a win-win! By the time I get to campus, it's usually straight to the counter to get some delicious coffee.

Alkestid, (MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence)

I walk to university. I intentionally chose accommodation in the city centre to make walking to campus convenient. The stroll takes me about 10 minutes, and during that time, I typically listen to music. It's a great way to clear my mind, set a positive tone for the day and enjoy some of my favourite tunes before diving into my university activities.
