Certificates, Transcripts and Graduation Ceremonies
Certificates and transcripts are extremely important and valuable documents in that they provide the main verification of an award or qualification.
The University has sole responsibility for the issue of certificates and transcripts in its name and must ensure, for example, that the name and location of the partner involved in the delivery of the programme is included.
The University is responsible for the production of award certificates.
Clear and accurate information regarding the name to be included on the awarding certificate should be provided by the partner to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Certificates are issued at or after the relevant graduation ceremony.
All students should receive a transcript which meets the expectations of the UK Quality Code, Chapter B10 (external website), Indicator 19.
The arrangements for the production of the transcript must be agreed with each partner, and must comply with the University of Bradford template. Where the agreement is for the transcript to be produced by the partner, an example must be submitted and held on file by the Academic Quality and Partnerships Office.
Further information is available from email@example.com.
The contractual agreement normally makes provision for the University to support one graduation ceremony a year for each overseas partner, and for each major UK partner. The students of other UK partners are normally invited to the University of Bradford graduation ceremonies, which take place in July and December of each year.
Students are only permitted to attend one graduation ceremony. All partner institutions are asked to provide a named contact for liaison regarding co-ordination of the awards ceremony.
All queries regarding graduation ceremonies for partner institutions should be directed to hub firstname.lastname@example.org.
