In her current role as Associate Director Outreach, Recruitment and Admissions, Claire has both strategic and operational responsibility for the University’s fully centralised enquiries and admissions functions, international student support and UKVI compliance, outreach and student recruitment in the UK, Europe, and UK International markets.
Claire has 18 years’ experience of working in higher and further education marketing, recruitment, and admissions, previously working as Head of UK Recruitment and Admissions and as Marketing and Recruitment Manager for the Faculty of Health Studies at Bradford, and in marketing positions at the University of Leeds and Leeds City College.
Claire is passionate about supporting students to achieve the best possible educational outcomes, and is a Community Governor for Gorse Academies Trust Post 16 Governing Body, a member of the governing body Finance Committee and lead governor for Pupil Premium.
Claire is a member of the UCAS Provider Advisory Group and former Chair of the UCAS Undergraduate Advisory Group. Claire represents the University on the Go Higher West Yorkshire Board and chairs the GHWY Access and Participation Subgroup. A Chartered Marketer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Claire also chairs the Chartered Institute of Marketing Yorkshire Board. A graduate of the University of Bradford in French and Spanish, Claire also has postgraduate qualifications in marketing and management.
