Applicant Experience Days

If you receive an offer from us, you may also be invited to an Applicant Experience Day.

These events are designed exclusively for offer holders, and will give you a greater insight into what it would be like to study on your chosen course here at the University of Bradford.

You'll have opportunities to quiz your future academics about your course and learn what you'll be doing day-to-day. It is the perfect opportunity to help you decide whether Bradford is right for you.

Booking your place

You will receive an email invitation that will give you information about the upcoming Applicant Experience Days along with the option to book your place.

Our next Applicant Experience Day is taking place on Thursday 26 May 2022, from 15:30 - 19:30.

Please note that some subjects have different event dates, for more information, please check individual subject schedules

Subject Schedules

Find the schedule for the Applicant Experience Day that you are due to attend. The schedule will give you an overview of the different activities taking place throughout your Applicant Experience Day.

Applicant interviews

Some subjects do not hold Applicant Experience Days as they conduct interviews before giving an offer instead. If the department you have applied to conducts individual interviews, you’ll receive an email invite with all the details you need. Following your interview session, we’ll contact you with an offer providing your interview is successful.

Guest activities

You are invited to join your family member, friend or partner in attending our next Applicant Experience Day.

After receiving a welcome talk, applicants and guests will be given separate activities to take part in.

Guests are also welcome to join applicants in their activities.

For a full description of all activities, please see the schedule below.

Nursery visits

If you are attending an Applicant Experience Day and are considering our Nursery for your child and would like to look around our facilities, please get in touch to arrange a visit.

Please note, the Nursery is based five minutes from campus on Laisteridge Lane.

Covid-19 Safety at our Applicant Experience Days

Our staff, student and visitor safety is at the forefront of our on-campus event planning. Here is how we are keeping everyone safe:

  • In line with Government guidance, we will be encouraging the wearing of face coverings when inside University buildings. We do understand that there may be some circumstances where people may not be able to wear a face covering and will be mindful and respectful of such circumstances.
  • An enhanced cleaning regime is being operated which includes regular cleaning of all high traffic areas and touchpoints, this includes areas such as toilets, door handles and lift buttons.
  • Social distancing is encouraged in the busiest areas on campus.
  • Where required designated queueing and one-way systems are in operation.
  • We encourage regular use of hand sanitising stations which are placed around the University campus.

From 1 April 2022, the Government will update guidance setting out that people with Covid should be careful and considerate of others, similar to advice on other infectious diseases.

To help us keep everyone safe we ask the following of all visitors:

  • That everyone takes a sensible approach and considers the safety of others; if you are feeling unwell, with cold or flu-like symptoms, please do not attend campus.
  • Adhere to any one way or queueing systems while visiting the University.
  • We encourage the wearing of face coverings within the University buildings in line with Government guidance. We do understand that there may be some circumstances where people may not be able to wear a face covering and will be mindful and respectful of such circumstances.
  • Hygiene is key - we ask all visitors to make use of the hand sanitising stations on arrival and throughout their visit. Hands should also be washed regularly.

Further details and government recommendations regarding self-isolating can be found on the NHS website.
