Develop a Strategic Research Plan that will:

Create two research institutes that will broadly centre on Health and Social Care, and Digital Innovation, Engineering and Sustainability.
Focus our Research on our key strengths prioritising applied research with societal and commercial value.
Deliver new industry partnerships that will support increased commercial opportunities.
Enhance leadership among our research community to maximise revenue.
Understand and establish an appropriate lower cost base for research activities.
Respond to local and regional economic and development strategies.
