Global Achievement Awards
The Bradford Global Achievement Awards recognise truly exceptional people who have achieved greatness through understanding how to use information to tackle the challenges of the 21st Century.
Chancellor Kate Swann presided over the Awards during her Installation.
The recipients include:
- Professor Dame Athene Donald – distinguished physicist, Master of Churchill College Cambridge, and incoming President of the British Science Association
- Dame Ellen MacArthur – round the world yachtswoman, Global Leader on the Circular Economy and founder of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation (not in attendance)
- Sir Paul Nurse – geneticist and cell biologist, Nobel Prize Winner and President of the Royal Society
- Professor Amartya Sen – Indian economist, philosopher and Nobel Memorial Prize Winner (not in attendance)
