Nearly every form of modern human activity involves the use of technology
in one form or another. Our courses are designed to prepare you for challenging
careers in a wide range of organisations where the effective management
of technology is crucial to success.
What degrees are available?
The philosophy behind all five courses is that most problems in the modern
world are multi-dimensional and require a broad approach in order to solve
them. All the courses do not therefore seek to produce narrow specialists,
but instead to develop individuals who, through their understanding of
a wide range of management and technology subjects, have the skills to
produce creative and original solutions to the inter-linked problems that
arise in modern organisations.

Are there any placements available?
The three- and four-year courses have exactly the same academic content,
with the four-year option including one year's industrial placement.
The placement year provides a unique opportunity to see the links between
the academic subjects studied at University with their application in
the workplace - whilst being paid! Placements are undertaken in a wide
variety of organisations and a full-time member of staff is on hand to
help you find the right one. Satisfactory completion results in the additional
award of a Diploma of Industrial Studies.
How will I be assessed?
Most modules are assessed at the end of each semester, usually by a
combination of formal examinations and coursework.
