TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Unique memberships are available for persons over 16 years of age only.
MEMBERSHIP TYPES
To qualify for student memberships, a valid college or university student card must be shown at time of joining and student rate will only be given if the student card is valid for the duration of the membership.
All membership fees are calculated to take into account holidays, closures and occasional class cancellations
Unique Student Peak Membership
This is available to University of Bradford students only. This membership entitles the user to access the fitness suite, swimming pool during general swimming times, group exercise classes, squash courts, badminton courts and use of the free weights area (some restrictions may apply). This membership DOES NOT INCLUDE use of the indoor football/basketball court, the climbing wall, swimming lessons or bookings for the artificial turf and grass pitches.
Unique student off-peak membership
This is available for University of Bradford students only. This membership entitles the user to access the fitness suite, swimming pool, squash court bookings, badminton court bookings and use of the free weights area at all times other than 'peak' times.
The 'peak' times are 12noon till 1pm and 5pm till 8pm Monday to Friday. This membership DOES NOT INCLUDE use of the indoor football court, climbing wall, swimming lessons or bookings for the artificial turf and grass pitches. An upgrade can be added to this membership to access the facilities at Peak times for an additional fee.
Unique all inclusive membership
This is available for all students above the age of 16, University and College staff, senior members and the general public. This membership entitles the user to access the fitness suite, swimming pool during general swimming times, group exercise classes and use of the free weights area (some restrictions may apply). This membership DOES NOT INCLUDE use of the indoor football/basketball court, squash courts, badminton courts, the climbing wall, swimming lessons or bookings for the artificial turf and grass pitches.
Unique Swim Only Membership
This membership is available to all individuals and includes use of the pool only during general sessions.
Membership Payment
Unique Fitness and Lifestyle student membership fees can only be paid by A SINGLE ANNUAL PAYMENT.
Public memberships can be paid either annually or by a direct debit.
The University of Bradford reserves the right to change subscription fees and will give members not less than 15 days notice if changes are to be made.
Inductions
Fitness Suite
All members must have completed a PARQ form on joining the sports centre.
Inductions into the fitness suite are available to book via reception, if a member requests an induction they cannot access the gym prior to completing the induction.
If a member decides to opt out of the induction a disclaimer accepting full responsibility must be signed prior to gym use.
All emmebrs and received a full induction to access the free weights room. the Unique Induction is included free of charge for all student memberships.
Cancellation of Membership
If you wish to cancel your membership you must inform the Administrator in writing stating the reason for cancellation and return your membership card. Refunds with medical certification will be paid in whole to the remaining value, subject to a £10 admin fee. Refunds for non medical reasons will entitle the card holder to a maximum refund of 50% of the remaining membership value, subject to a £10 admin fee. If you are unable to use your membership due to ill health and are able to provide medical evidence to support this, you may freeze your membership for up to 6 months. You must notify the administrator in writing and your membership will be frozen from the date this notification along with medical support is received.

Memebrship Expiry Without Renewal
All members must return their membership card upon expiration of membership.

General
1. Memberships cannot be put on hold for travel/holidays
2. Any missed bookings or cancellations within the 24 hour period prior to that booking will encounter a Full court/class charge.
3. The Unique membership card must be presented at reception on each visit. Failure to present the card will lead to refusal of entry or the normal charge being levied.
4. Unique Fitness and Lifestyle will endeavour to give prior notice of any alteration to or cancellation of activities or centre programmes but reserve the right to do so without prior notice.
5. Unique Fitness and Lifestyle cannot be held responsible for any services or equipment not available, for whatever reason.
6. Should any circumstances arise affecting the Members suitability to participate in exercise, it is the responsibility of the individual to notify Unique. Members should consult their doctor before commencing a fitness session. We may request written confirmation from a medical professional before re-commencing any activity
7. Where a maximum number restricts particular sessions admittance will be strictly on the basis of first-come first served basis
8. Unique Fitness and Lifestyle accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to the Members personal effects, or personal injury to the Member whilst on University of Bradford property, except in so far as such loss, damage or injury is, by law, incapable of exclusion.
9. Unique Fitness and Lifestyle respects the rights of its customers and staff and will not tolerate violent, abusive or intimidating behaviour within its facilities. Persons exhibiting unacceptable behaviour will be asked to leave the premises and may be prosecuted. CCTV cameras are in operation in the facility.
10. Unique Fitness and Lifestyle may from time to time send information and offers (including via email and SMS text messaging) about events, services and offers provided by Unique Fitness and Lifestyle and/or the University of Bradford.
11. If your card is lost or stolen there will be a £10 charge for a replacement
STUDENT UNION
It is the responsibility of the individual to inform the Club Captain, Trip Organiser or Activity Leader of any relevant medical condition or previous injuries the Union should be aware of which may affect your safe participation in the sport.
By being a member of a club you may be participating in activities which involve an above average element of risk, in an environment where professional medical and rescue services may not always be immediately available. It is your responsibility to ensure that you fully understand the exact nature of each activity you undertake, the risks involved, the skill levels required, and the equipment needed for your safe participation. You should never participate in an activity where you are unsure of any of the above aspects. If in doubt, ask any of your Club Committee members or the Athletic Association for the further information.
