What is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the use of plant-derived aromatic essential oils, and is used with massage and other therapeutic techniques to promote physical and psychological wellbeing as part of a holistic treatment approach.
The oils have been shown through research to possess stimulant, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory and relaxant properties. The treatment offers a personalised approach, by selecting the appropriate combination of essential oils for the physical and psychological benefits required by the individual client.
Who can aromatherapy help?
Aromatherapy can benefit everyone, and is useful for a wide range of disorders, including stress and tension, headaches, insomnia, back aches and muscular pain. Professional aromatherapy is a safe complementary therapy. Massage eases muscular aches and pains, promotes muscle relaxation and tone, and improves circulation.
