Induction materials for new students

Your Academic School/department will organise an induction for your first couple of weeks with us.

The induction will involve a series of events and classes introducing you to your chosen course/area of study, as well as to your tutors and fellow students. It is important that you attend your induction sessions.

  • The Lord Mayor of Bradford will be holding a Reception at the City Hall to welcome you to the city, which will include afternoon tea and a guided tour of the City Hall

We offer a wide range of study abroad programmes to suit everyone, ranging from a few weeks up to a year abroad.

Social and leisure time

  • - the arts are valued at Bradford as part of the overall educational provision and there is an art gallery, theatre and music centre on campus
  • - provides students with the opportunity to access a 100-station fitness suite, indoor heated swimming pool, free weights room and group exercise classes for as little as £85 per year.
  • University of Bradford Union (UBU) and its services - the UBU is where you will find everything you need to complement your student life, whether that is expanding your skills through sports, societies, media areas or volunteering; meeting new friends or enjoying our entertainments; joining with likeminded students in areas of politics; or getting academic or social advice and support.

We boast four big media areas covering radio, cinema, journalism and film and also help you get volunteering opportunities to help boost your CV.
