We have a number of services dedicated to looking after our students' health and welfare during their time here at Bradford.
The University gym with a pool, sports hall, climbing wall, and physiotherapy and beauty therapy services.
The Health Service provides a confidential and comprehensive service of health care, with access to specialist facilities. Students who live in the practice area can register with one of the doctors and make full use of the service.
We have four doctors, three nurses and friendly support staff. Minor procedures such as cervical smears and simple operations can be undertaken.
Consultations and treatments are strictly confidential. Nothing is disclosed without your permission. With your agreement, the doctors can work closely with academic staff and the Counselling Service to ensure that you and your studies do not suffer unduly through ill-health or stress.
The Bradford Student Health Service can be contacted on 01274 234979, and there are more details on their website.
We also have a University Eye Clinic, located within Optometry, that provides full optometric services (eye examinations, spectacles, contact lenses, etc) throughout the year for staff and students of the University of Bradford and their families, and also for members of the public.
