Dr. Sherif Busari
Biography
Dr Sherif Adeshina Busari is currently a Research Fellow with the Bradford-Renduchintala Centre for Space AI, University of Bradford, U.K. He is a researcher on the EPSRC/UKRI-funded MSCA postdoctoral fellowship that investigates the interplay of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, terahertz communication and machine learning for 6G networks. He received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical and electronics engineering from The Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria, in 2011 and 2015, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in telecommunications from the Universidade de Aveiro, under the joint doctoral program in telecommunications from the Universities of Minho, Aveiro, and Porto (MAP-tele). Formerly, he was a Lecturer with The Federal University of Technology Akure; and a Researcher with the Instituto de Telecomunicações, Aveiro, Portugal, and the Center for Electronic, Optoelectronic and Telecommunications, Universidade do Algarve, Faro, Portugal. His research interests include millimeter-wave and THz communications, massive MIMO, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, and beamforming and machine learning for 5G/6G networks and beyond. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Graduate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
