Ferda Halicioglu is
an economist specialising in applied econometrics
with extensive academic, editorial, and research accomplishments. He currently
serves as an Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Bradford’s
Department of Peace Studies and International Development in the UK and holds a
Senior Visiting Fellowship in Applied Econometrics at the University of
Lincoln.
He holds a PhD in Economics from
Istanbul University, an MSc in Economics from Cardiff Business School, and a
BSc in Economics from Ankara University. He has held academic posts in the UK
and Turkey, including professorships at Istanbul Medeniyet University and
Yeditepe University and a senior lectureship at the University of Greenwich,
London.
He has authored over 60
peer-reviewed journal articles, focusing on international economics, energy
economics, tourism, health, and sports economics. His work has appeared in

Turkish and international economic associations. He has received multiple
