European Regional Development Funding of over £2m enabled the creation of a dedicated Business Bioscience Incubation Suite in the ICT building which offers a number of bioscience services. The incubation area includes four laboratories with office units, all with integrated fume hoods.
Incubation clients have direct access to bioscience services such as the Bio-Imaging Suite and GCLP labs, the Analytical Centre facilities, meeting rooms and conferencing facilities within the Institute of Cance Therapeutics, the Norcroft Building and Norcroft Conference Centre. Equally important to the incubation programme is access to a growing number of business support services provided through the University and regional business networks.
Incubation clients will primarily come from University of Bradford commercial ventures, however, non-University of Bradford scientists and businesses are also encouraged to make contact and take advantage of the offices, laboratory facilities and bioscience services on offer. The only qualification required is a desire to work with and benefit from the thriving research community at the University of Bradford. In addition further opportunities exist for collaboration across the University particularly within Life Sciences, Management, Engineering and Health.
