Module code: PHA7086-C
This module has a dual aim; to develop you on your journey to becoming a confident and competent researcher and to build the key knowledge and skills to enable you to independantly undertake your own applied research, improvement, evaluation and/or audit project, which is meaningful and relevant to your role in practice. Through online learning, structured application workshops and directed learning tasks, this module equips you with practical guidance about 'how to' design, support and conduct research in health and social care environments. This module aligns to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) post registration curricula which focuses on four pillars of advanced practice; clinical practice, leadership and management, research and education, and will provide opportunities to build and develop evidence for your credentialing portfolio. On completion of this module, you will be able to critically evaluate and select methodologies and methods for use in designing your own research project. You will also develop a working knowledge of your own research networks and infrastructure in place to support the design and delivery of research projects in practice. Finally, you will critically reflect on your current level of knowledge and expertise and your areas for development. You will be supported to build and review an ongoing action plan to fill these gaps. Download the PDF for PHA7086-C_2026_7.pdf
