The University of Bradford has a unique portfolio of world-class research and knowledge transfer (RKT) in the UK and abroad. Knowledge transfer is the exchange of ideas, knowledge and expertise between the University and a range of external organisations where the intention is to create economic and social benefit through innovation in products, services, ways of working and business models.

Partnering

  • Our multi-disciplinary research teams are experienced in establishing successful partnerships with industry, government and fellow academics
  • The Research & Knowledge Transfer Support (RKTS) Department is a one-stop shop for all University RKT activity for businesses, staff, students and graduates
  • Knowledge transfer support areas exist across the University and the RKTS Department works closely with these areas to maintain an overview of all their activity
  • RKTS provides research, commercialisation and consultancy support, and is home to the Think Business@Bradford Programme, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) and the Summer Experience@Bradford Programme
  • The Department's Regional Business Partnerships Centre works with Bradford and regional companies to establish links and create meaningful interactions. It co-ordinates this activity across the University

  • The University of Bradford Think Business@Bradford programme supports graduates’ entrepreneurial aspirations by incubating groundbreaking talent
  • The Summer Experience@Bradford programme supports undergraduate and postgraduate students and local businesses by facilitating short-term summer placement projects
