Our Students

Graduation

The student population at Bradford is one of the most diverse you will find anywhere, with students from over 140 countries studying here.

Just over one in five of our undergraduate students are from overseas and there is a roughly equal split of males and females. There are 10,000 students at the University, with 78% of these studying undergraduate programmes, so the community is big enough for you to find plenty of interesting friends but small enough to guarantee you won't feel lost in the crowd.

It's no longer considered unusual to go to your local or regional university and 62% of our 2005/06 first-year students came from West Yorkshire. If you live locally you can benefit from a range of advantages including reduced cost (especially if you are living at home) and, with students joining us from all around the globe, you can get a taste of dozens of different cultures without leaving your home town.
