If taken over two years, approximately 14-16 hours of weekly study is required. | ||
The Bradford MBA is highly ranked and recognised as one of the top global MBAs, accredited by AMBA and Equis, and with well advanced plans to achieve AACSB accreditation, the School of Management will become one of the few \"triple accredited\" business schools in the UK. The MBA is an integrative programme designed for those seeking high-level careers in management, whether specialists, seeking to widen their understanding and perspective or senior managers wishing to take that extra step up the ladder to the top. We believe that what you learn from the course and your tutors is very important, but what you learn from each other on the programme is equally important. We select our candidates carefully to ensure the best possible learning and sharing experience for everyone.
The Bradford Distance Learning MBA is aimed at intelligent, highly motivated managers who wish to equip themselves with the essential business and management skills required in the increasingly competitive, diverse and dynamic business environment.
Although studying largely independently, Distance Learning MBA students get all the benefits of being at a leading international business school and gaining a globally recognised qualification. You will also get access to all of our learning, careers and support services as well as our online library and academic expertise.
All our MBA programmes are made up of three stages
Distance learning students are not required to attend any sessions at Bradford University School of Management. However students are welcome to attend a two day on-site MBA induction session in either September or January. Further to this students can chose to study up to three modules (each running over 3-5 days) at the School of Management or at any one of our partner institutions in the Netherlands, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai for no extra cost (other than travel and subsistence costs).
Your knowledge and understanding of each subject area studied will be assessed by the most appropriate means. This will typically involve the completion of a written assignment, an exam or in some cases an assignment and an exam. If you need to sit an exam we have approved examination centres worldwide, making it highly likely that there is an exam centre near you. Please note, if you do not sit the exam at the Bradford School of Management or RDI Coventry you will have to pay an extra fee to your chosen examination centre.

The University is committed to helping students develop and enhance employability and this is an integral part of many programmes. Specialist support is available throughout the course from Career Development Services including help to find part-time work while studying, placements, vacation work and graduate vacancies. Students are encouraged to access this support at an early stage and to use the extensive resources on the web site www.careers.brad.ac.uk.
Discussing options with specialist advisers helps to clarify plans through exploring options and refining skills of job-hunting. In most of programmes there is direct input by Career Development Advisers into the curriculum or through specially arranged workshops.
Additionally, the School of Management has its own dedicated careers team based on the school campus. Please visit the School of Management website for further details.
The Bradford MBA differentiates me from other engineers and I think - from the feedback I have received from recruitment consultants - that it is valued and opens doors." Mark Boland, Distance learning MBA 2003.
