This programme is generally planned over 12 weeks, and for most professionals wishing to return to practice it incorporates 150 hours of theory and 150 hours in clinical practice.
The first two weeks form an introductory block at University and attendance is required Monday to Friday 9.30am - 3.30pm. Over the remaining 10 weeks, you will undertake 150 hours of clinical practice with the support of a qualified mentor.
However, for midwives the length of the course will vary in length according to the time that you have spent out of practice.
The theoretical component of the course for all students will continue with directed learning materials and attendance at group/individual tutorials.
