Course Introduction

A course designed to meet the needs of managers or aspiring managers in child care organisations. Assessment is directly related to your practice as a manager and enables you to enhance your leadership and management skills, whilst working in a children's care environment

Students may top up to a BSc (Hons) level from the FdSc through a further 18 months of part-time study, or one year of full-time study

(C) = Core, (O) = Option Module:

240 Credits equivalent to the FdSc PLUS 120 Credits.

The (O) modules selected will depend on what options you choose to study at level 2 since many of the modules are offered at level 2 and level 3.

Entry Requirements

  • Students should generally expect to have achieved 160 UCAS points or the equivalent plus GCSE in English Language/Literature or equivalent. 
  • However, applications are welcome from candidates with non-standard qualifications or those without formal qualifications.

Level of English Required

IELTS at 6.0 or equivalent
