Are you confident to cover a ward of any speciality?

Having recently undergone a major review to ensure we continue to meet the changing demands of a career in hospital, the new MSc Clinical Pharmacy (Hospital) allows you to complete the General Level Framework and develop the skills you need to progress through the Agenda for Change bandings.

With a firm focus on preparation for lifelong learning and critical thinking, this course helps you to improve and apply your knowledge of clinical pharmacy, working in the NHS and research skills, as well as ensuring you meet your CPD requirements.  There is also the opportunity to choose an optional module in the second year to develop your knowledge in an area you are particularly interested in.

The course is relevant to Hospital Pharmacists and Newly Qualified Pharmacists.

Stage 1 (60 Credits - 2 x (C) Modules):

  • Pharmacist Development in the NHS (20 Credits) (C)
  • Foundations in Clinical Practive (40 Credits) (C)

Stage 2 (60 Credits - 2 x (C)):

  • Applied Therapeutics (40 Credits) (C)
  • Skills for Pharmacy Practice and Research (20 Credits) (core with an optional component)

Stage 3 (60 Credits - 1 x (C) Module):

  • Dissertation (60 credits) (C)

To apply for this course you need to:

  • be working in the UK
  • be registered with the GPhC
  • have access to patients
  • have support from your employer
  • have access to the internet

Level of English Required

IELTS at 6.0 or the equivalent.
