Bradford strengthens clean energy ties in Vietnam
The University of Bradford has advanced its international collaboration on sustainable energy with a specialist workshop at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST).
Delivered by Professor Ben Whiteside, Director of the Institute of Digital and Sustainable Futures, and Dr Cuong Dao from the School of Computing and Engineering, the session focused on clean energy transition as part of the British Council-funded iTechPath project.

The workshop drew strong interest from both academics and students at HUST, who engaged actively with the discussions on emerging technologies and pathways for a sustainable energy future.
The visit also included discussions with Hanoi University of Transport and Communication, Institute of Energy Technology and Hanoi University of Mining and Geology on future research and education partnerships in clean energy and transportation systems.

Dr Cuong Dao said: “This workshop is a significant step forward for both institutions. It strengthens our shared expertise in clean energy and supports the University of Bradford’s strategic aim to drive global collaboration on sustainability and digital innovation. By working together, we can accelerate research and create real-world solutions that benefit communities in Vietnam, the UK and beyond.”
