Vice Chancellors meet and greet session
On Monday 12 January the Vice Chancellor of the University, and the leadership team from Students' Union hosted an informal meet and greet session to welcome new students to the University of Bradford for the January intake of the 2025/26 Academic Year in SC02 Student Central.

Report and Support session
On Monday 12 January the Dignity and Respect Team hosted an awareness Session on Harassment and Bullying at University.
The session helped new students learn how to recognise, prevent, and respond to harassment and bullying. There is also the opportunity to discover the support and reporting methods That were available to students and staff.

Student Timetable Familiarisation sessions
On Monday 12 January the Timetabling Team hosted a hybrid Student Timetable Familiarisation session.
This session was delivered in a hybrid format.
Student Attendance and Engagement sessions
On Tuesday 13 January the Student Engagement Team hosted a hybrid session to familiarise new students with the attendance and engagement policy here at the University. The session detailed how attendance was monitored and where students could access different kinds of support.
This session was delivered in a hybrid format.
The session was also repeated on Thursday 15 January for anyone who could not attend on Tuesday.
Finance Talks
On Tuesday 13 January the Student Life Team hosted an online money advice session to advise new students.
Introduction to Academic and Student Support Services
Our student support services hosted the Introduction to Academic and Student Support Services online session on Thursday 15 January.
This session provided information on all the student services at the University of Bradford who can assist you during your studies. This includes: Academic Skills Advice, Career and Employability Services, Chaplaincy and Multi-Faith Team, Counselling and Mental Health Service, Disability Advice Service, The Language Centre, Library, MyBradford, Student Experience and Success Team and the Student Life Team.

Student Representative session
On Thursday 15 January the SABB Team hosted an online session for all new and returning students interested in becoming a Student Representative.
Being a Student Representative is an amazing opportunity to make a real difference to your programme and the wider University experience. Your chance to be the voice of your programme and shape your University experience. This wasn't just a role; it was an opportunity to develop awesome leadership skills, meet new people, and leave a lasting impact! Representatives worked alongside staff to gather feedback from your peers, suggest improvements, and ensure the student voice was heard at every level.
During this online session, we covered:
- What being a Student Representative involved.
- The benefits of becoming a representative
- How to apply and get involved - no experience was needed!

Refreshers Fayre
On Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 January the Students' Union hosted the Refreshers fayre in Student Central from 11am-4pm.
Students were able to come along and see what societies and clubs were available at the University.
