At this time of remarkable political and social change, everyone is looking to the Arab world. In our new adventurous season of music and film events we will provide a window on the cultural heritage of the region. This season is guest curated by local blogger and eclectic music connoisseur Tales From Bradistan. Our selection of events integrates old and new musical styles: from Omar Souleyman 'one of the wildest, most life-enhancing rackets ever to hit a UK stage' to the Jadid Ensemble; a fusion of contemporary Arabic and Turkish sounds underpinned with Flamenco guitar; we offer a panoramic sweep of the rhythms and sounds of this diverse region.
