BSc (Hons) in Business and Management Studies

Course overview

Bradford's Business & Management Studies degree equips you with the broad range of knowledge required in modern business.

If you choose the four-year option for your Business & Management Studies degree, you will spend one of those years in supervised practice in an industrial, commercial or administrative organisation.

In the first year of your Business & Management Studies degree, you study the basic disciplines involved in management. In the second year you study the Practice of Management Skills plus a further 11 modules from a list of about 50, enabling you to design a programme of study to suit your needs and interests. In the final year of your Business & Management Studies degree, you choose 12 optional modules.

Specialist areas include accounting, financial management, marketing, psychology, production and operations management, human resource management, and the more quantitative aspects of information management and business information systems. There are also multidisciplinary modules on subjects such as international business and strategic management.

For entry in 2012/13, minimum requirements will be:

320 points (three-year programme)

GCSE (or equivalent) English Language and Mathematics are also required at a minimum of grade C
