Stage 1: September - December

You take the following compulsory modules:

  • Employee relations

Stage 2: January - July

You take compulsory modules in:

  • Human resource management in context
  • Leading managing and developing people
  • Employment law
  • Developing skills for business leadership
  • Research methods

plus two electives.

Stage 3: July - August

You will undertake an original and detailed investigation of a specific issue related to human resource management.

Examples of recent dissertations include:

  • Cross-border mergers and acquisitions between British and east European companies: the implications for the management of human resources
  • Incentive schemes and corporate performance
  • Recruitment and attraction of IT professionals in Lithuania

Note: The offer of particular modules is subject to sufficient numbers of students selecting them. Modules may not be run with low student numbers.
