European Management Programme (EMP)

Overview

The European Management Programme, or the MSc in European and International Business Management to give it its full title, is designed for students who wish to develop a truly international perspective on management, by sharing the experience of living and studying in three different European countries. Applicants will need to be competent in at least two of the three languages used in the course (Spanish, French & English).

You have a choice of routes:

Stage 1 - Bilbao/Nantes > Stage 2 - Nantes/Bilbao > Stage 3 - Bradford 

                                                      OR

Stage 1 - Nantes/Bilbao > Stage 2 -  Bilbao/Nantes > Stage 3 - Bradford

Stage 1 - Taught modules on the foundations of business and management

Stage 2 - Taught modules on European management

Stage 3 - You select three from a range of electives

Stage 4 - You undertake a work placement, most often in a country whose language is not your first, and then write a report on the work placement, supervised by academics in Nantes or Bilbao.

+Module details

Compulsory modules are taught during the first six months in Deusto-Bilbao and Audencia-Nantes, and elective modules taught during the Spring period at Bradford. Students must simultaneously prepare a dissertation. After the Dissertation's viva and the electives' exams at Bradford, students undertake a tutored internship of three to six months.

The second term (January-March) offers more advanced courses, so that postgraduates can solve real case-studies of international companies using management tools with a sound technical basis.
