About the LLM in Healthcare Law

Developed with input from senior medical practitioners, this new LLM programme will allow you to gain a broad appreciation of the legal aspects of medical practice, together with the presentation of scientific and medical evidence as part of litigation. With a range of optional subjects and the facility to undertake a research project on a specific topic of personal interest, the programme allows you to tailor your study to your individual interests and careerdevelopment. The programme will also allow you to develop professional networks that will benefit you across your entire career.

Entry requirements

You will normally have a minimum first degree qualification of 2:2 from an approved university but this need not be in law or a law related subject. Please contact us if you need any clarification or would like to discuss your individual situation with us.

Applicants whose first language is not English,  must achieve a 6.5 score on the IELTS test of English, 580 in the written TOEFL, 240 in the computer-based TOEFL, or 94 or better in the internet-based TOEFL.

In order to appeal to busy professionals, the programme is taught over two years by means of intensive weekend sessions which will include lectures, seminars and workshop activities. This will be supplemented by extensive course materials and additional reading.
