Overview
Since our formation in 2005, Bradford University Law School has developed rapidly in both the breadth and depth of our portfolio and we are moving towards still more exciting developments yet - do keep checking back to this web page.
Our LLB Hons undergraduate course is a Qualifying Law Degree, designed to give you, over its three years duration , the legal tools you will need for a career as a solicitor or barrister as well as equipping you for employment in other areas if you choose not go on to professional qualification in law. Should you wish to be a legal executive or paralegal our degree is just as relevant for you.
Our other undergraduate course, BA (Hons) Business Studies and Law provides good preparation for business careers that have a legal dimension. It will help you to develop a clear understanding of the interface between business activity and the legal framework within which it operates.
We require you to have GCSE English at Grade C or above (or equivalent) and, for Business Studies and Law, GCSE Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
The Graduate Diploma in Law is the route to professional legal qualification for you if you already have an honours degree in another discipline. It is taught full time over one academic year (or part time over two) and provides you with the legal Foundations required by the professional bodies for entry onto their vocational stage of training.
Bradford University Law School also has two Masters degrees within its portfolio- the LLM Healthcare Law (taught in Bradford) and the LLM International Business Law (taught in the centre of London at our partner institution, London School of Business and Finance).
As a student on any of these courses, you will have the opportunity to get involved in national competitions organised for law students, to join and possibly be involved in the organisation of the Student Law Society, to visit the courts and to meet members of the profession.
Bradford University Law School is part of a wider Faculty, the School of Management, which has an international reputation for excellence. You benefit from all the facilities of the School's 14-acre parkland campus and can, of course, access all the facilities on the University's main city campus.
