MBA and MSc Workshop Schedule

Semester 2b 2011-12

This semester we are offering students the opportunity to experience some of the activities you might experience at an assessment centre.

This is not to find out what happens; this is to experience what actually happens. If you are unfamiliar with what happens please make sure you have looked at the workshop presentation on Assessment Centres on Blackboard, in School of Management Career Development Service organisation, then access via MBA or MSc Career Resources in the Career workshops folder.

If you want to attend you must reserve a place so that we have all the resources required ready and you must arrive on time. All the activities will be delivered as in the real world! You will have a short briefing on the exercises in terms of how the activity will run, these activities will be timed and if you arrive after the exercise has started you will not be able to take part.

Group activity session

Employers use these activities to look at skills including, communication, team work, time management.

Students will work in a small group to undertake and complete a task

2 sessions will be offered, one at 10am and one at 11.30 once you have reserved your place we will confirm the session you can attend, we need to balance out the sessions and allow time for individual feedback.
