Alumni CPD Day - introducing the Centre for Managerial Excellence

Following the successful Alumni Weekend in May 2010 and taking into account the feedback from attendees we are this year holding a day of CPD for Alumni, the date to note in your diary is Saturday 14th May 2011 (the week prior to the CPD block weeks thereby allowing alumni to attend both if they wish.)

The theme for the day will be the work and research our new and exciting Centre for Managerial Excellence, (CME). This newly established Centre embraces innovative research and knowledge transfer that is practice-focused and addresses the key global challenges facing businesses. The CME seeks to enhance collaborative endeavours across the worlds of industry and academia to help build capacity, generate and apply research in the areas of leadership, innovation, competitiveness and economic growth. The CME aims to:

  • Develop practice-focussed, leading-edge management research that will address key global challenges
  • Undertake research and transfer knowledge generated to businesses and enterprises locally, nationally and internationally

There will be a cancellation fee of £20 and no refunds can be made for cancellations after Friday April 29th 2011
