Alumni weekend to celebrate the opening of the new facilities

The School of Management would like to invite all alumni to join us to celebrate the opening of our new facilities.

We are planning a weekend full of activities, which we hope will allow you to engage with both the school and other alumni.

The weekend event will take place at the School of Management on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of May 2010.

We are still planning the event but at this stage can advise you of a draft schedule to give you an idea of what we have planned.

Saturday, welcome from the Dean, Professor Arthur Francis, Keynote speaker to deliver guest lecture, opportunities to attend CPD sessions

We are delighted to be able to advise you that John Elkington will be the key note speaker on Saturday 15the May. John is a world authority on corporate responsibility and sustainable development. In 2004, BusinessWeek described him as "a dean of the corporate responsibility movement for three decades." In 2008, The Evening Standard named John among the '1000 Most Influential People' in London, describing him as "a true green business guru," and as "an evangelist for corporate social and environmental responsibility long before it was fashionable."

The CPD sessions will be delivered by academic faculty from the school and will bring you up to date with the latest thinking in their areas of research/expertise. Read full details

Saturday evening, Gala dinner and the chance to catch up with staff and alumni.

Sunday morning, a final CPD session and then a session organised by the Alumni Ambassadors to discuss what you would like to see being developed in terms of Alumni Services.

Sunday lunch and then depart

There will also be tours of the new facilities

The cost of the weekend will be £75 this does not include accommodation and attendees are responsible for their own travel costs and arrangements.

Single room accommodation is available at Heaton Mount; the rate is £39.00 per person, per night for Bed and Breakfast. Please email a.thickett@bradford.ac.uk for further details and to book a room.
