ABOUT THE SCHOOL

University accommodation

Undergraduate accommodation is principally on the main University of Bradford campus, linked to the School by a special bus service. Undergraduate students who elect to hold an offer as their firm choice will be guaranteed accommodation on campus for their first year, subject to completion of the application procedure. Vernon Barnby Hall located at the School of Management is the only allocated Hall specifically for Postgraduate Students studying at the school. Vernon Barnby comprises 25 single en-suite study-bedrooms with shared kitchen facilities.

All University of Bradford accommodation is connected to the University network, so you have access to the library system, e-mail and the web from your bedroom.

The Green

Our brand new £40million purpose built student village, the Green, opened in September 2011 in the heart of the city campus.

Students now live in a groundbreaking scheme which is a blueprint for eco-friendly living. It aims to be the first BREAAM 'Outstanding' student accommodation in the country - the highest accredited award for sustainable building development and operation.

The village be the most sustainable development in the country and the design incorporated a wide range of modern high quality internal and external features and finishes.

Made up of townhouses and apartments, with 1,026 bedrooms in total, The Green has been designed around a village concept with a real community feel. It is set in beautiful landscape gardens, with a biodiversity pond water feature in its heart and places to relax and socialise.

The development will provide high quality accommodation with a modern and fresh design, with both ensuite and shared bathroom accommodation available. With being located in the heart of the University's City Campus, your lectures will be just a short stroll away.

Guaranteed accommodation

We guarantee accommodation for undergraduate and postgraduate overseas students in their first year at University, subject to completion of the application procedures and acceptance of the University's academic offer. UK undergraduate applicants who elect to hold an offer, either conditional or unconditional, as their FIRM choice will be guaranteed a place in University owned or allocated accommodation for their first year, subject to completion of the application procedure.

Private accommodation

Vernon Barnby hall Most postgraduate students - and many undergraduates after their first year - rent privately owned accommodation. There is plenty of good-quality accommodation available at a reasonable price within walking distance of the School of Management.
