Problems logging into Email (Outlook Live)?

Step 1

Check you are using your correct Windows Live ID - this is your username plus @student.bradford.ac.uk, eg:
branybo6@student.bradford.ac.uk correct.
b.r.anybody6@student.bradford.ac.uk incorrect.

Step 2

If you still cannot login, change your password at a password kiosk in the Hub or near the printers in J. B. Priestley Library, or on the web and WAIT ONE HOUR before trying to login again.

Your password MUST:

  • be between 8 and 16 characters long;
  • contain a number, lowercase and uppercase letter in the first 8 characters.

Your password MUST NOT contain:

  • recognisable names or words;
  • spaces or non-English characters.
  • your username (e.g. jrbloggs@student.bradford.ac.uk CANNOT have the password jrbloggs, jrBLoggs or jrBloggsisAce);

Step 3

If this is still not successful, try logging into Blackboard:

  • If you cannot, you have not remembered your password correctly and will need to change it (following the criteria above).
  • If you can, there is a problem with Microsoft accepting the password - change it (following the criteria above).
