Minitab

Minitab is a computer application for statistical analysis. However, alternative applications such as SPSS or Matlab Statistics Toolbox might be more appropriate for advanced analysis. (Note: the Matlab Statistics Toolbox can only  be used as an add-on module with the core module Matlab and those who wish to use the Matlab Statistics Toolbox must buy a licence.)

Minitab is available on all Learner Support Services cluster PCs. University of Bradford students and staff are also permitted to run Minitab on their own computers. You can either:

• purchase the Minitab installation CD from the J. B. Priestley Library Welcome Desk, or
• if you have access to the UoB Apps server, install it from there. This facility is only available within the campus network and to certain departments. The server installation includes the installation of the licence.

The built in Help system also has tutorials and can be accessed via the Help button on the menu bar while running Minitab.
