STEM at Bradford
STEM at Bradford works in partnership across the district to raise attainment and aspiration in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. The team also works regionally and nationally to influence STEM policy and contribute to STEM education research.
Originating in 2010, the project oversaw the building of an iconic new facility to enable schools and colleges to experience high quality laboratory and teaching resources on campus. Alongside the build, a programme of activities was developed with leading STEM educators to excite, engage and stimulate interest in STEM-based higher education courses and career opportunities.
The iconic STEM facility was completed in April 2013 and creates a centrepiece for all the University’s STEM focussed schools, community and public engagement work.
