Guardian and Observer on CD-ROM is available for the following years:
From 2006 the CD-ROM version ceases. Access to the Guardian will be available via the Guardian web site and from Lexis@Library (please note however that no freelance reports are available via Lexis@Library. This includes supplements and feature articles).
The Guardian and Observer databases contain the text of both newspapers in a fully searchable format. The text is taken from the final London edition of the newspaper and includes all the news, features and editorial comment. The full text of each article is included, along with its date, headline, publication section and page number. Selected graphics and tables are also included.
Back copies of the paper from 1966 to 1991 are kept on microfilm in cabinets on the second floor of the J B Priestley Library.
