EndNote is a useful bibliographic tool, helping you to keep track of the books, journals and other sources that you have used to write essays.
If you enter reference information for all of the resources that you use into EndNote, you can then use the program to create bibliographies for your essays, theses and dissertations, in the bibliographic style that your department requires.
Once the basic task of manually entering references has been mastered, you will be able to move on to formatting your bibliography, linking it to your Microsoft Word documents to create references in the text, and exporting and importing references from other bibliographic databases, including the University of Bradford Library Catalogue.
The latest versions of EndNote available are EndNote X2 and EndNote Web.
EndNote X2 is available on all public cluster and staff PCs supported by Learner Support Services. If you are a member of staff and EndNote is not already installed on your PC you can download it from UoB Apps > Application Installers.
You can buy a personal copy from Adept Scientific Webstore. You will need your Athens username and password to purchase at the educational rate.
EndNote Web is a web version of EndNote, with slightly reduced functionality, which is available free to all members of the University of Bradford. In order to use this resource you must sign in or register via the EndNote Web web site.
Please note: If you are off campus you will need your Athens username and password to register.
Please contact your subject librarian for more help and information about EndNote.
