Your Country - Kenya

Entry Requirements

The University of Bradford is pleased to welcome applications from Kenya. When you apply, we will consider your educational qualifications, your English Language level and, in some cases, your relevant work experience. Entry requirements will vary according to the course you are applying for, but we hope that the following information will be useful as a guide to our requirements.

Bachelor's/Undergraduate Study

Students must complete a recognised Foundation Programme after the Kenyan Certificate of Secondary Education, the KCSE (see Foundation Programmes, below) in order to be eligible to apply for a degree at Bachelor's/undergraduate level.

Alternatively, students must have completed at least one year of university study at a reputable university in Kenya at an approved level.

Bradford also welcomes A-level and IB students from international schools.

OND with minimum upper credit and HND lower/upper credit can also be accepted for entry to degree programmes.

Foundation Year Programmes

For entry to the Bradford's Foundation Year Programmes students must have a KCSE average grade of C. Where courses have specific subject requirements (for example, Mathematics for Engineering) higher grades may be required for these subjects.

The University of Bradford is a founder member of NCUK (Northern Consortium United Kingdom) which provides programmes to prepare international students for study outside of their home country. Please visit http://www.ncuk.ac.uk/ for further information on NCUK.

Completion of the NCUK's International Foundation Year in Nairobi at the required level gives guaranteed entry to an undergraduate degree at the University of Bradford.

Master's/Postgraduate Study

Bradford welcomes applicants for taught Master's degrees from students with a good Kenyan university degree qualification. The entry level is 2:1 or 2:2, depending upon the course applied for. Please note that HND cannot be accepted for entry to Master's degrees.

MBA

Candidates for Bradford's renowned MBA course will need to demonstrate that they have had significant managerial experience. Our regulations specify a minimum of three years of post graduation work experience. However, the mere fact that you have worked for three years since your graduation does not necessarily mean you have the level of managerial experience we require. The average length of work experience successful applicants have is between five and six years. MBA applicants will also be required to take an on-line Bradford Admissions Test.

Research

Students with more advanced qualifications and a well-thought out research proposal can be considered for MPhil / PhD level study.
